Emergency & Last-Minute Cat Boarding

The trip moved, the ward called, or the sitter cancelled this morning. Your cat still needs somewhere to be tonight.

When the plan changes with no notice

Most boarding is booked weeks ahead. A fair share of it is not. An admission gets brought forward, a work trip lands on a Friday afternoon, a pipe bursts, or the sitter who was going to drop in every evening cancels the day before you fly. The cat side of it does not wait for you to catch up.

A short-notice stay runs the same way as any other stay here, only faster: tell us the dates, get your cat's records to us, and bring the food. What we will not do is promise you a suite before we have looked. Every stay is subject to availability, so check the calendar via Book Now first and we will work from what is free.

Classic Suite base rates start from SGD 60/night, up to SGD 120/night for the largest suite, and there is no same-day or last-minute surcharge. Pricing

The short-notice stays we see most

Hospital admission

Planned, or brought forward

A bed comes free earlier than expected, or a check-up turns into an admission the same afternoon. Someone still has to feed your cat, clean the tray, and give medication on time. A friend bringing the carrier on your behalf is fine with us, as long as the records come with them.

A sudden trip

Work, family, a flight that moved

A trip that lands with two days' notice leaves no time to train a sitter or brief a neighbour. Boarding is the one arrangement you can set up in an afternoon and then stop holding in your head.

A home emergency

A leak, a fire, an urgent treatment

A burst pipe, ceiling works your block schedules at short notice, or an urgent pest treatment all end the same way: the flat is not somewhere a cat should be while it is being dealt with.

A sitter who cancelled

The cover fell through

Sitters fall ill and arrangements collapse, usually at the worst moment. If you are looking for cover the night before you fly, send the dates first.

Private suites across two storeys at Kuro Cat Hotel

What we need from you

Three things move a short-notice booking fastest. Your cat's vaccination record, in whatever form your vet gave it to you: core feline vaccination (FPV, FCV, FHV) with proof of a booster or a titer result, or a vet memo if there is a medical reason not to vaccinate. Your cat's usual food, so a hard week does not also become a diet change. And any medication, with the dose and the timing written down rather than explained at the door.

Two more things save a phone call later. Parasite prevention is administered at check-in. And name a backup contact who can answer questions about your cat while you are in surgery, in the air, or otherwise unreachable.

How check-in works, and what to expect on arrival

Send the dates first

Check-in and check-out dates, and your cat's name, before anything else. Send them before you start packing.

Book the slot, not just the day

Check-in runs 3pm to 6pm and check-out 10am to 12pm, by appointment, with 15 minutes held for each one. Early check-in from 11am and late check-out to 6pm are available at additional cost. Ask when you book rather than on the morning.

One carrier, one bag

The carrier, the usual food for the length of the stay, any medication with dosing notes, and something that smells like home. That is the whole packing list, and it is the same list whether you booked in March or this morning.

A health check on arrival

Every guest is looked over at check-in: no fleas, ticks or mites, no fungal infection, no sign of active illness, injury or pain, and the records are checked alongside it, so send them ahead if you can. Parasite prevention goes on then. If something looks wrong we say so at the door, not after you have left.

Then you go

Your cat goes straight into its own suite.

Kuro, founder Charlotte's cat

Who's actually looking after them

I'm Charlotte, the founder. Ten years with cats, and this whole place exists because of my own cat, Kuro. Short-notice enquiries reach me the same way any other one does, and I would rather tell you straight away that a date is full than string you along while you are already dealing with a hospital or a burst pipe. If your dates are still soft, come and see the suites first.

Last-minute boarding questions we hear

Can I board my cat today?

It depends entirely on what is open. Every stay is subject to availability, so check the calendar via Book Now for your dates and message us with your cat's name. We will not hold a suite we do not have, and we will tell you straight if the answer is no.

Do you charge more for a last-minute or same-day booking?

No. There is no same-day or last-minute surcharge. Published suite prices are standard nightly rates before eligible promotions.

What if I do not have my cat's vaccination record to hand?

Ask your vet to send it to you directly. Many clinics can email it the same day, so ask as soon as you know you need boarding. Records must be provided at or before check-in, and a cat that does not meet the admission criteria may be refused, so this is the part worth sorting first rather than last.

Can someone else drop my cat off for me?

Yes. If you are already in hospital or on a flight, a partner, a family member or a friend can bring the carrier, as long as they have the records and the food and your cat's details are on the booking. Give us a backup contact who can answer questions while you are unreachable.

What if I cannot get back on the day I planned?

Tell us as soon as you know. Booking amendments are free up to 48 hours before check-in, and for a stay already running we would rather talk an extension through than have you rush a collection. Extensions are subject to availability like any other booking.

Send us the dates

Same-day and next-day stays are subject to availability, so checking the calendar is the first step. Tell us your dates and your cat's name and we will come back with what is open. If it is tonight, put that in the first line.
