Cat Boarding in Singapore
Private suites in a cat-only Chinatown shophouse. No shared rooms, no dogs, no multi-species noise. From SGD 60/night.
What boarding at Kuro actually looks like
Most cat boarding in Singapore is a row of enclosures inside a pet shop or a converted warehouse. Your cat shares airflow with fifteen other households and every dog on the roster. The noise never stops.
Kuro is a three-storey heritage shophouse in Chinatown. Cats only. Every guest gets a private suite with their own litter station, ventilation, and camera feed. No shared rooms, no rotation schedules, no dogs through the wall. The building runs on cat time: quiet lighting, pheromone diffusers, and double doors between floors so activity on one level doesn't carry to the next.
Four suite types, one standard
Every suite includes 24/7 air-conditioning, HEPA air purification, private CCTV, twice-daily deep cleaning with F10 hospital-grade disinfectants, interactive playtime, PETKIT filtered water, and premium dust-free tofu litter. The difference between tiers is space and capacity.

A typical day at Kuro
Twice-daily litter cleaning, fresh water, meals following your feeding notes. Two interactive play sessions in the common area, one household at a time, never mixed. Quiet hours in between, lights dimmed, the shophouse settled. Goodnight check before the evening shift ends.
The whole day is on camera. You watch from your sofa, your office, or the departure lounge. The feed runs for the full stay, not a five-minute clip.
Before your cat arrives
Vaccination
Up-to-date core vaccinations, or a valid vet memo certifying your cat is fit for boarding.
Sterilisation
Required for all cats 6 months or older, or showing signs of sexual maturity.
Parasite treatment
Current spot-on treatment for external and internal parasites, applied at check-in or within the past 30 days.
Food supply
Bring your cat's usual food for the full stay, plus a 10% buffer. We provide litter and water.
Something from home
A blanket, a bed, or a piece of your worn clothing. Familiar scents do more than any enrichment toy.
Why cat-only matters
Cats don't habituate to dog barking. They don't ignore the scent of a rabbit two rooms over. A stressed cat stops eating, hides, and shows it in the litter box within hours. The single best thing a boarding facility can do is remove the noise. Cat-only removes most of it.
We are Fear Free certified. That means specific protocols: how we handle carriers at check-in, how we introduce cats to their suite, how we approach shy cats (we don't, until they approach us), how we read early stress signals. Charlotte is listed in the Fear Free Certified Professional directory.

Who runs it
I'm Charlotte. Ten years with cats, starting from when Kuro, a young void on the streets, chose me. I run the hotel. I'm Fear Free certified. My cat lives on site. If you want to walk through the shophouse before booking, that's the right thing to do. Most first-time clients do.
